Another week just came and went. I know I should be used to this by now but honestly, I'm nowhere close to being comfortable with this high-speed chase. Can't we all take a step back and marvel at how far we've come instead of reaching for new heights without even realizing how far we've scaled.
Yesterday was simply amazing, to see the fruits of our batch's effort coming together at Farewell. Personally, I am really proud of our batch after witnessing the potential we exhibited yesterday. After hearing from the seniors how their batch was never really united, it has become clear what's most important in the coming weeks. In fact, this is a long-term task that will stretch through our journey in Players. But being in the annex with a bunch of people who spontaneously break into song and laughter was simply heartwarming. And the seniors looking on, gaping at how bonded our batch has already become despite the short amount of time we have spent together. I am really honoured to be leading such a wonderful batch and I have hopeful aspirations of what we can achieve together.
Now that the lock and key has been entrusted to us, my steps feel heavier. But not owing to the burden or stress, but because they are now filled with purpose and exuberance. I know where we are headed now, and I know we can do it.
We are the king and queen of promise. And I promise you this:
The game is ours to win. PLAY on.
