Imagine. That you can't.
Introducing the nightmare to life, The Dream Oblivion closes all doors of possibilities in your life but one--and you're basically running through the motions of a scripted destiny. Imagine that you can't imagine. But you can't. Too bad.
Albeit seemingly frightening at first glance, this has been an unspoken desire for many humanoids (I bequeath such a term to them for I do not consider them fully human). Surely, you must have heard someone mutter that he wished he knew his future. In saying that, there is an inherent subtlety in suggesting that he does not want to transcend the boundaries but rather, live a life that has already been predestined.
It may be a consensus that our fortunes in life have already been rolled out for us and we're just taking a step closer each dissolving minute. But we all need that aspect of surprise and sometimes disappointment in life. If everything went according to plan--our plan--we might as well just go straight to the end--death.
The Dream Oblivion--it is everything you wanted and everything you wished you never wanted. But it'd all be too late. For when your life is a straight road to misery, you cannot wish for nothing else, because it's all pointless now.
Dreaming is never pointless. We may never attain the foresight we set for ourselves, but at least we will never know the outcome beforehand--and that keeps us going.
Sometimes in life, you need to be self-deluded, to know that you are pursuing something, and to know that you're never going to give up.
Because if you want to, I can help you.
With the Dream Oblivion. More commonly known as any weapon that may inflict permanent damage leading to death.
