Jacob no doubt complied to rules because they were governing fundamentals and not because he believed it was right to do so. Certainly, I can distinguish between morals and morons but my awkward behavior at times has got me thinking-could I be mildly autistic?
I wouldn't dismiss that absurd claim immediately; it could be as bombastically put 'anthropomorphizing' and yet it could simply be unveiling a truth in denial. I tend to dart my eyes swiftly frequently when striking intimate conversations and even with the decent amount of effort I channel to my muscles, it is dreary and dreadful to glance you right past your iris and into the rods and cones that analyze my features.
Sometimes I speak to myself; I created an adventure cum TV show that lasted in my head for almost 6 years running but it suddenly stopped just 1 year ago. I run to the comfort of my bed and room when things go amiss-not the way humans usually express their distress-but more because my inward speaks louder than the outwards.
It isn't a phenomenon that can be cast into words but a feeling that blooms naturally. And maybe some things do have rules and somethings just need rules. But the only rule I rule by is the rule of believing that I'm different-regardless of condescending nuances-and I rule my heart with an iron fist of my own.
Believe it.
