A stroke of luck has decided that today be a staff training day because the teachers are incorrigibly under-trained and need more frequent crash courses. Surely, the holiday coinciding with the staff training has no link to allowing the students to rest. "Feed them with extra homework so they may be kept busy, while we shall prepare our instruments of torture for the following days to come." No doubt a tyrannical speech like that ensues from the lips of the one who will sit in a 10 million dollar block of solids, intricately crafted into a majestic office. My only comforting reason lies next to my heart today, and it's knowing how awesome my parents are.
Sure I must fork out my own money for most of my personal items or not be duly rewarded when getting a gpa high over average expectations, but all these teach me to treasure my own rewards, which don't come obligatory. My greatest consolation is that they're very understanding and very caring to what I want. I remembered the smooth time I had asking them if I could purchase an iPod Touch on the spot. And just 2 days ago, my mother readily agreed when I asked to take up playing the guitar. I thank you Lord for such wonderful blessings to my family.
Today I will register for my first three months in guitar. Here's to making it a lasting skill.
